Marketing Communications Coordinator

The MarComm coordinator will work closely with the founding executives, to perform strategic, tactical and administrative work as needed….per start-up life. Person should be organized, reliable and interested in learning about corporate communications and press relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Grow and maintain the target list of media for MacOS target market.
    • Research list of top YouTubers and influencers.
  • Create and maintain a master communications calendar, 6–12 months out, complete with publication lead times and deadlines.
  • Lead and coordinate press outreach as well as incoming requests for information interviews.
    • Research and summarize their positions and publications.
  • Schedule and prepare for interviews ranging from vloggers to the NY Times Wirecutter.
    • Expect to reschedule 50% of these interviews.
  • Track the distribution and collection of non-disclosure agreement signatures.
  • Manage the allocation, shipping and collection of demonstration units to reviewers.
  • Capture, summarize and present weekly company media coverage.
  • Obtain, track and compare media advertising and affiliate marketing kits and opportunities.
  • Create, manage and present campaign results, reports and ROI.
  • Recommend additional communications channels and tactics.
  • Maintain a social media marketing calendar.
    • Publish social media content if capable.
  • Track results against metrics.
  • Clean-up and make marketing presentations “pretty”.
  • Set-up and schedule virtual company meetings.
  • Consumer technology product usability testing.
  • Pick-up other tasks as time allows.
